The Roma Medical 1430 Standard Car Transit Wheelchair is made from chromium plated steel making it a strong and stable platform which has been crash tested to ensure it meets current criteria for a safe wheelchair with a maximum user weight of 18 stone / 114kg.

The 1430 has many features including a progressive and parking braking system which allows an attendant to more easily control the speed and to stop/park the wheelchair more securely.  This transit wheelchair also has 12" (30cm) puncture proof rear wheels ensuring the user has a smooth and comfortable ride.  There are 8" (20cm) solid tyre swivel castors at the front making it easy for the wheelchair to do 360° turns and to guide the chair in any direction. 

For extra comfort the Roma 1430 also has padded armrests and swing-away detachable height adjustable footrests.  These footrests swing sideways and can be removed to create space, when not in use, or to allow easy movement in or out of the wheelchair.  They are easily adjusted to fit users height and have heel straps to keep feet from sliding backwards or getting caught between the wheels.
