Philips Dreamstation CPAP machines use a blue pollen filter that is washable and reusable, and a light blue ultra fine filter that is disposable.

The reusable pollen filter screens out most normal household dust and pollen, and should always be in the machine when the device is in operation.

The disposable ultra-fine filters provide a more complete filtration of fine particles.

The DreamStation CPAP machine has an automatic air filter reminder, so every 30 days the machine will display a message reminding you to

check and replace your filters as directed.  This is only a reminder , the Dreamstation cannot detect the performance of filters.

The ultra-fine filter should be changed after every 30 nights of sleep, and the reusable pollen filter should be cleaned at least every 2 weeks and replaced every six months.
